Chassis # 05 – Ayrton Senna’s First World championship points scoring F1 car
The last of the TG 183B series of cars was built specifically for Ayrton Senna and was debuted by him in his very first F1 race – The Grand Premio do Brazil in Rio De Janeiro. Subsequently he raced the car at Kyalami where he finished a creditable 6th and in doing so, scored his first world championship point. This was followed by a 7th at Zolder and in his final race in TG183B 05 was at the San Marino GP at Imola.
The car was then retired and retained by the team until it was sold to the USA where it was restored in the early 90’s by Mike Earl’s North American organisation in Los Angeles. Subsequently having returned to the UK in recent years, is now available with original Hart turbo engine, complete with spare block from original Toleman team stock and full documentation showing an unbroken chain of ownership since it left Toleman establishing the cars provenance and it’s claim to a unique place in F1 history.
